CARLISLE HOSTING SOCCER CAMP: The Carlisle High School girls soccer team will host a soccer camp on Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22 for ages 4-14. SW OHIO CHAMPIONSHIP TENNIS, BASKETBALL CLINICS: Lakota West boys basketball and tennis coach Mike Mueller, along with Hamilton High basketball coach Tim Robinson are hosting a clinic focusing on principles for success in basketball, tennis, fitness and life. The three-day clinics are being held at Riverside Racquet Club in Hamilton. The clinics are open for all boys and girls entering grades 3-11 in the fall of 2008. The dates are July 14, July 16 and July 18. The cost is $35/one day, $59/two days and $89/three days. KIDS GOLF AND SPORTS CAMPS JULY 14-18: Forest Hills Country Club, located at 791 4th Ave. in Middletown, is offering kids golf and sports camps from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday July 14 through Friday, July 18, at the club. Kids will learn golf techniques, play the course, swim at the pool and compete in a tournament for trophies and prizes. Please bring your own clubs and swimwear. SUMMER VOLLEYBALL CAMP AT FRANKLIN: The Franklin Varsity Volleyball Team is hosting a Summer Volleyball Camp for girls who will be going into the sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grades. HAMILTON BOYS SOCCER CAMP: Hamilton High's boys soccer team is having a camp for all interested high school players Tuesday, July 15 (8 to 10 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.); Wednesday, July 16, (8 to 10 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.); July 23 (5-7 p.m.) and July 24 (5 to 7 p.m.). CHRISTY DENNIS ALUMNI SOCCER GAME JULY 26: The fourth annual Christy Dennis Alumni Soccer game will be at 1 p.m. July 26 at the Christy Rose Dennis Soccer Stadium in Fairfield. The cost is $10 per player, which includes a T-shirt. Tickets to the game are $5 for adults. Children 12 and younger are free. Participants and spectators are invited to a family picnic following the game at the Fairfield Optimist Club. A cornhole tournament will be held at the picnic with a $5 entry fee. FRANKLIN CHAMBER GOLF OUTING NEARS: The Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce golf outing will be held Aug. 22, at Jamaica Run. Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start. FOOTBALL OFFICIALS TRAINING PROGRAM IN JULY: The Butler County Football Official Association will sponsor an OHSAA-approved training program that will begin July 31. NINTH ANNUAL JENNY EVANS ROAD RACE SCHEDULE: The Ninth Annual Jenny Evans Road Race will be Aug. 2, beginning at 8 a.m. for the 5K race and 8:05 a.m. for the walk. Registration fees before Tuesday, July 15, are $15 for adults 19 and older, $12 for students 10-18 and $6 for children 9 and younger. After Tuesday, they are $20, $15 and $12, respectively. The top three male and female finishers in each of the 10 age groups will receive awards. Check-in time is 7 a.m. Registration forms can be picked up at any Fairfield school or Bob Evans Restaurant.

MIDLIFE SOFTBALL REGISTERING PLAYERS: Midlife softball, a men's league for players 35 and older, will begin its second season of play in July. The games are Monday nights at Keehner Park on Barret Road in West Chester. The league accepts full teams, partial teams and individual players. More than 70 players joined the league last year, and it is looking to expand in 2008. The league also allows father-son duos to play on the same team. OHIO U. HOLDING BASEBALL PROSPECT CAMPS: The Ohio University baseball program has two prospect camps scheduled for late summer and early fall. The first will be Aug. 23, and the second will be Oct. 4. Each camp will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. The camp is restricted to 2009, 2010 and 2011 high school graduates.
