Tennis opens MAC with win over Ball State
BUFFALO, N.Y. — With a 5-0 win against No. 7 seed Ball State (9-11) in the Mid-American Conference tournament quarterfinals Friday afternoon, April 25, the second-seeded Miami University women's tennis team (14-6) advanced to the MAC semifinals at 2 p.m. today against No. 6 seed Buffalo.

Baseball rallies to win
11-inning contest
OXFORD — Down to its final strike in the 10th inning, Miami's baseball team rallied to tie before winning an 11-inning MAC contest over Bowling Green, 9-8, Friday night at McKie Field at Hayden Park. The win was Miami's ninth straight win over Bowling Green (19-17, 6-7 MAC).
Jon Edgington scored from second on a single by Jordan Petraitis to tie the game at 8-8 in the 10th inning. Miami then loaded the bases in the 11th with two outs, and Edgington drew a walk to give the RedHawks the 9-8 victory.
Tommy Nurre led Miami (14-26, 5-11) at the plate, going 3-for-5, while Edgington drove in two runs.
