Monroe boil advisory in effect Tuesday
Monday, May 19, 2008
MONROE — The city of Monroe has plans to work on the water main on Serena Way. Repairs begin at 8 a.m. Tues., May 20. No water will be available to residents during the repair time.
When water is restored, a boil advisory will be in effect for at least 48 hours. It is a precautionary measure required by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, according to a news release from the city of Monroe. Under the advisory, residents should boil their water used for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene. It is possible that "red" water will appear shortly after water service is restored.
