Stone takes science
project to state
Extras
Eric Stone took his science fair project to State Science Day, conducted May 10 at the Ohio State University.
The day was sponsored by The Ohio Academy of Science, American Electric Power, The Ohio Environmental Education Fund and Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane, Inc.
Stone, a seventh grader from Monroe Junior School, submitted his project titled, "Staph beware! Studying the most effective way to clean your hands."
McCulley graduates
from BGSU
Kathleen Elyse McCulley of Monroe received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University during ceremonies held May 2-3 on campus.
Hilton to play in
championship
Jonathan Hilton, 17, took first place in the 2009 Ohio High School Chess Championship held in Columbus on May 3-4. Jonathan will represent Ohio in the Denker National Tournament of High School Champions to be held in Dallas, Texas in August.
Jonathan is home schooled. He is the son of Paula and Mike Hilton of Fairfield.
