McCulley graduates from Bowling Green

Kathleen Elyse McCulley of Monroe graduated Saturday, May 3, from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor of science degree.

NFMC announces achievements

The National Federation of Music Clubs recently announced the achievements of several local performers in competition.

Students of Leah Kay Hogg who received a "unanimous superior" in piano solo were: Elizabeth Wourms, Cameron Ridge, Hunter Taylor, Meghan Wourms and Megan Parrella. Receiving a "superior" rating were Hannah Meibers, Rosamaria DiCristoforo, Bonnie Meibers, Olivia Ridge, Olivia Owens, Christian Ridge, Erin Waldon and Nathan Lee. Receiving an "excellent" rating were Luke Bradshaw, Lauren Beckmeyer, Gabriela DiCristoforo and Hannah Ridge. Meghan Wourms received a "unanimous superior" in piano concerto. Receiving a "superior" rating were Olivia Owens and Megan Parrella. Nathan Lee received a rating of "excellent."

In the theory of musicianship event, receiving a "superior" rating in Level 1 were Luke Bradshaw, Bonnie Meibers, Hannah Meibers, Olivia Owens, Hunter Taylor and Elizabeth Wourms. In Level 2, students receiving an "excellent" were Lauren Beckmeyer and Olivia Ridge. The student with other honors was Cameron Ridge. In Level 3, Nathan Lee received a "superior" rating and other honors went to Meghan Wourms. In Level 4, Christian Ridge received an "excellent" rating. In Level 5, other honors went to Hannah Ridge and Erin Waldon. In Level 7, Megan Parrella received an "excellent" rating.

Students receiving their 15-point cup in piano solo were Rosamaria DiCristoforo, Bonnie Meibers and Christian Ridge; in the concerto event, Megan Parrella; and in the theory event, Meghan Wourms.

Erin Waldon received a 30-point cup in piano solo.

A student of LaVerne Hopper who received an "unanimous superior" rating in piano solo was Keyonna Sinclair. Chelsea Smith received an "excellent" rating in art song solo in Jr. III vocal solo.

MND inducts students into NHS

Mount Notre Dame High School recently initiated new members into the school's National Honor Society chapter. New members carry a 90 percent academic average and have exhibited evidence of leadership, character and service. Alexandra Randolph, current president of NHS, addressed the new inductees at the tapping ceremony and breakfast. Inductees are:

Juniors: Krista Adkins, Alysha DeWees, Melissa Eckes, Jessica Forand, Rachael Harris, Lauren Huser, Evelyn Iacono, Jessica Keller, Kylie Renner, Lauren Rice, Gabrielle Smith, Olivia Stall, Jessica Truong and Claire Wolfe.
