DAYTON — Aaron Miller, a Miami University junior from Bellbrook, died Saturday, May 17, at Hospice of Dayton three weeks after sustaining a head injury in a fall.

Miller, 20, was hospitalized in critical condition on April 28 after reportedly falling from a lofted bed at the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house, 111 E. Spring St. in Oxford.

Sgt. Jim Squance said Monday that Oxford police are still investigating the incident and will release a report later today, May 20. Squance said police looked into a rumor that Miller fell elsewhere, and then was moved on the floor next to the bed.

"At this point, that appears to be absolutely false," Squance said.

Miami spokeswoman Claire Wagner said Pi Kappa Phi remains on summary suspension of activities during the investigation, a standard procedure after such an accident. Miami's spring semester ended May 9.

Miller, a 2006 Bellbrook High School graduate, was a finance major and entrepreneurship minor at Miami.

Visitation is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Miller is survived by his parents, Lisa and Jeff Miller; his sister, Kelsey Miller, and other relatives.
