False gun scare in junior high school

Police said they will pursue charges of inducing panic in juvenile court against a Lebanon Junior High School student who they said falsely claimed another student was carrying a gun at school today, Tuesday May 13..

School officials called Lebanon police to the school at 160 Miller Road after a a boy yelled, "He's got a gun," between classes when students filled the hallways.

School staff near both students searched the student and his locker and determined there was no gun.

School administrators disciplined the other student who made the false claim, according to Lebanon police, who said they are sending the boy's case to Warren County juvenile court.
