The Beach Waterpark
The Beach Waterpark opens for the summer from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends before Memorial Day. For those without a season pass, admission is $27.99, $20.50 military, $15.50 after 4 p.m., $10.50 seniors and children. Season pass holders can bring a friend free on opening weekend and enjoy a free breakfast with Shivers and Miles from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Space Day event promises to be
out of this world
Cincinnati iSPACE presents Space Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Scarlet Oaks Career Development Campus, 3254 E. Kemper Road. The free event will allow children of all ages to experience hands-on and interactive booths with flight simulators, a robot, model rockets and more. Exhibitors include the Civil Air Patrol, the 123rd Air Control Squadron and Cincinnati Observatory Center.

Mason Community Band to perform movie, Elvis hits
The Mason Community Band, a local group of volunteer musicians, will perform its annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Mason Middle School, 6370 Mason-Montgomery Road. The concert will include selections from "Pirates of the Caribbean," the Elvis classic "All Shook Up" and marches. The event is free.

Outdoor rock festival will benefit
Ugandan children
The Invisible Children Club at Bishop Fenwick High School presents Gulupalooza, an outdoor music festival, from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at AK Pavilion in Bicentennial Commons, Carmody Boulevard and Second Street in Middletown.
Scheduled to appear are Joe Hedges, Ellison, Patient Zero, Waiting For Now, Matt and Tom Kleingers and For Sound or Reason.
Tickets are $10. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Invisible Children to assist Ugandan students and displaced community members.

Jets and Sharks collide once more
at LaComedia
The classic musical based loosely on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" returns to the stage as LaComedia Dinner Theatre presents "West Side Story." Enjoy Leonard Bernstein's musical account of two rival street gangs, a forbidden teenage romance and the chaos created by their cultural and ethnic differences.
Performances run Wednesdays through Sundays through June 29 at the theatre, 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro. Ticket prices vary.
